Last Friday, Netflix finally released the final two episodes of Stranger Things 4, and while people were hoping they’d get answers, the finale only left them with more questions.

What happened to Doctor Owens?
“Papa” and “Piggyback” have left the fates of several characters ambiguous, but the first on the list goes to the good doctor, who attempted to bring Eleven back to Hawkins before Dr. Brenner had him beaten up and locked away.
His last appearance was right before Colonel Sullivan ordered his men to shoot Eleven. It remains to be seen if the Colonel decided to take him in as a prisoner or if they put him out of commission for good.
Where will Colonel Sullivan go from here?
After leaving Dr. Owens with an ambiguous fate, many feared that he would be able to catch up to Eleven. However, considering how they had more wheels and some choppers, he was surprisingly nowhere to be seen in the finale.
However, with the Upside Down bleeding into Hawkins, Colonel Sullivan will likely butt heads with the ensemble of protagonists in the next season.
What is Vecna up to next?
The climax of the final episode showed Vecna/Henry/One on the verge of killing Max (to an extent, he succeeded) before Eleven mustered the strength to hold him back. Meanwhile, Nancy, Steve, and Robin were able to bombard him with Molotov cocktails before Nancy’s shot sent him falling through the window. However, once the ordeal was over, they could see where Vecna/Henry/One landed, but his body was nowhere to be seen, making the likelihood of his return in the final season a strong one.

Is Max gone?
Vecna/Henry/One was right in the middle of getting his final kill to open the barriers between the real world and the Upside Down, and the audience was shocked to see Max’s limbs snap.
While Eleven was able to interrupt, the damage was too much for Max’s physical body, and she died in Lucas’ arms. However, El was able to use her strength to bring Max back. Or so fans thought.
It was revealed that Max was hospitalized, but when Eleven reached into her mind, she was nowhere to be seen. It’s possible that she may be captured by Vecna, but fans will have to wait until the Duffer Brothers give a date for the final season of the series.
Is Eddie really dead?
Following the trend of beloved characters taking fans’ hearts and later dying, Eddie Munson sacrificed himself to give Dustin enough time to escape. While he practically had time to make his way out, Eddie decided to bring the bats away from the trailer, dying in the process while Dustin was helpless. Returning to the real world, all Dustin could give back to Eddie’s uncle was his guitar pick.
Compared to Bob and Alexei’s death, Eddie’s felt a little more ambiguous. That and the fact that Hopper turned out to have survived could give fans a reason to anticipate the Hellfire Club leader’s return.
Is Will in love with Mike?
Throughout the season, fans have discussed the possibility of Will being in love with his best friend. Videos and threads have been going around suggesting he could have feelings for Mike. However, the closest to an answer fans will get is how emotional he got while comforting his best friend.
Many believe his description of how El feels for Mike may have been about himself. But fans will most likely get their answers in Season 5.
